1950's Sewing circle stitchery pattern

These patterns are now sold, thanks for looking. I have been cleaning out my cupboard and I found these 12 set of patterns that I no longer need as I have almost finished this quilt so I thought I would try and sell it. The Australian designer behind these great drawings is Robyn Allen-Waters.

Unfortunately the patterns don't come with the buttons as I used them on my quilt.

All the patterns are in perfect 2nd hand condition and come in the cute little bag pictured below.

All I am asking is $50 for the patterns. I will ship international but as I can't accept foreign currency we can maybe work out a trade.
If you want to see more pictures please just ask.

If you are interested please leave a comment or send me an e-mail.

Gifts for Wendy

I've just popped in to share with you the gifts I made for Wendy at Charlottes Web . Wendy kindly let me borrow her pics as I forgot to take a photo of my package before I sent it off. Thanks Wendy. Ok here we go, I really enjoyed making the stitched heart. Its a Rosalie Quinlan design and so much fun to make. I also enjoyed making the mini pin cushion and needlecase , I like playing with small scraps of fabric.

I also added a few extra goodies. I'm so pleased you liked everything Wendy.

Not a real lot of sewing going on today as its too hot. We have just come back from swimming at the Gorge, it was beautiful and cool there. Now I need to think about what to cook for dinner. Something easy I reckon.

Have a great week.

Lucky me

A little while ago my friend Wendy from Charlottes web and I decided to do a swap with each other, This week my swap gifts arrived . Wendy made me the most beautiful gifts from Anni Downs fabric. A gorgeous little drawstring bag, a needlecase and a pin cushion with scissors in the back.

Even with some embroidery which is so pretty.

Also Wendy sent me some lovely fabric which is so pretty and designed by Rielly Blake. A cute tin and a button.

Thankyou Wendy, the gifts you made me are perfect.

You will have to go to Wendy's blog to see the things I sent her as I forgot to take photos.

I also recieved another special gift from my friend Steph, all the way from Belgium.

Steph sent me some Tilda fabrics. I love these and as they are so hard to come by I need to think of the perfect project.

Steph also sent me some Tilda wooden cut outs, I think I'll put them in my quilt journal.

Plenty of sewing going on this weekend, I'll be back to share then.

Have a great evening.

Pretty Baskets

In between making quilts I like to make little things, these baskets were such fun to make and so easy.

I had these left over fat quarters of Delilah fabric as the print on them was a bit big to put in a quilt so I saved them for a future project not having a clue at the time what I would use them for.

Then when I wanted to make the baskets I knew the fabric would be perfect.

This pink basket is so pretty. Having 4 males in our house I like a bit of pink just for me.

The blue basket is the biggest and I have all my threads stored in there for my stitchery project. (more on that later)

I plan to get a bit of sewing done today as well as baking for the boys lunch boxes, what do you have planned for today? I hope it involves some sewing to. Have a great day.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day, this year my husband gave me something a bit different to the usual roses and chocolates. I got a new watering can.

I did tell him I wanted one so I'm happy with that.

Now I can water all the beautiful roses in our garden and pick flowers whenever I want.

I hope you all had a lovely day.

Scrap jar quilt

The internet and other blogs are so full of inspiration that I could spend all day just going from page to page and getting so many ideas. When I found this block tutorial over at Amber's blog... A little bit biased, I wanted to start it straight away. Well it wasn't long before I had one row complete. Then after lots and lots of hours sewing I finally finished the quilt top.

I'm so pleased with the end result and even more excited that Amber has posted about my quilt on her blog. Thank you Amber you really have made my day.

My zinnias look so pretty in my garden right now I just had to include them in a photo.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

A new quilt

My first new quilt for 2012, made by me for my youngest son. The fabric is called Children at play and it is so sweet.

I made a simple row of sqaures with sashing in between, these quilts are quick to put together.

Look at these little boys, so cute...

And these ones, they remind me of my 3 boys when they were little. Except there would have been some arguing thrown in there somewhere. Probably over who could hold the rocket.

I found this binding fabric at spot light in the clearance bin for $2 a metre, it works beautifully around the quilt.

I was having some fun this morning taking my photos and thought the quilt would sit nicely in the flower pot stand.

I love photos of quilts all rolled up. Today I hope to finish my Scrap Jars quilt, just the borders to go. I can't wait to show you all.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you find some sewing time.

The big 5 0

Well its been a very fun week for me. Last Saturday I turned 50. It was a fun day of celebrations followed by a wonderful dinner with 30 ...
