The journey is almost over

I have almost finished my Journey of a Quilter by Leanne Beasley, I have been working on it for almost 2 years and as my quilt group are having a Quilt Exhibition in September it was just the motivation I needed to get it done, here are my last 2 blocks, all stitched and ready to be put together

Bags and postcards

Here are some new postcards I made for my swaps, this time I printed a postcard template from the internet onto fabric and used them for my backing. I think they look really professional, don't you? I love to make postcards, I also collect the paper kind so I have quite a few in my collection, Every woman loves bags of any kind, here is my latest creation, its a little sewing bag for all my goodies, I also made one for my mother in law for her birthday but I forgot to take a photo before I sent it it her. I love making little things.

Once again I have joined Helen's stitchers Angel swap, I was in this last year and I had a great time making the projects, actually I am still in regular contact with the lady who was my partner last time. We have had a few of our own swaps, if you would like to join in please go to Helen's blog and get all the details.

Sweet stitching

Here is a lovely little pin cushion I made for my Christmas in July partner, its a Lynette Anderson project, Pat likes pinks and I was so happy with how it turned out. Its fun to make little projects.

A great Leanne beasley pattern and a beautiful piece of lace.

A lovely heart hanger and needlecase are my favourite things.

And this sweet stitchery I think I will frame and put in my hallway. Thankyou Pat for such lovely gifts and thankyou Karen for organising such a wonderful swap.
